Job Description: DBFS are currently looking for a senior java developer to come on board and join our tier 1 investment banking client. You will join a highly skilled, dynamic, global team of senior developers and architects and will be involved in all aspects of the product/project delivery lifecycleThis role would suit an engineer with experience and a keen interest in data integration, model driven development and metadata driven development to help with the build out of these capabilities.Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the Engineering of the tools necessary for the provision of Business & Information Architecture practices and to support the metadata and model driven development initiatives Development and support of data lineage harvesters Development and support of adapters to address Business needs and assist other teams with their adapter development. Liaise with geographically dispersed technical teams to ensure the automation of the load of data assets Support of application monitoring with regards to performance and headroom. Background: Java Developer with 7+ years experience Driven self-starter, highly motivated Multi-disciplined IT background Understand differing meta data formats Ability to produce high quality work in a pressured environment Ability to manage prioritization of workload and demonstrate strong time management skills Desirables: Experience with developing using the Eclipse framework In-depth knowledge of XML/XSD schemas Experience in domain specific languages including Cobol, Java Computer Science PHD or MSC. Experience working within a well audited environment.
