Job Description: Due to continued expansion my client a leading manufacturing group supplying specialist machinery to a global client base is looking to recruit an experienced design engineer to strengthen their mechanical engineering division. You will be responsible for designing new machinery including conveyor systems whilst making modifications to existing designs. With a minimum of an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, you will ideally have a background in heavy engineering and have previous experience within a design engineering/drawing office environment. Experience of medium to heavy fabrication design is essential, along with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modelling techniques on an industrial recognised platform. A good working knowledge of Inventor and structural/fabrication design experience would also be a distinct advantage, however, not essential. In this role there may be a requirement to travel to customer sites in the UK, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
