Job Description: Our client specialise in the design, development and manufacture of bespoke highest technology metrology systems for a diverse range of industry sector applications, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly self motivated Junior Applications Engineer to interface between the sales team and the customer and demonstrate how their cutting edge technology solutions can be applied to customer specific requirements and environments, necessitating extensive liaison with a range of manufacturing industry clients throughout the UK, with principal customer market sectors including F1 teams, aerospace, automotive, metal and composite fabrications sectors. Working as part of a small team and reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic, articulate and highly self motivated technical individual to proactively promote and assist in the sales of company products across the UK to various levels of staff at businesses in the target market sectors, typically liaising with both engineers, managers and directors of Quality, Production and engineering departments and organisations, so exceptional interfacing and liaison skills at all levels are a prerequisite for the position. Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and demonstrating confident, articulate and technically strong communication skills, you will be responsible for understanding the specific needs of a customer manufacturing environment and communicating the best solution from the product portfolio, assisting the sales team in the sales process through effective communication of the benefits available as well as working closely with the development teams in conveying feedback from customers and becoming an integral part of future product definition. In addition to your proven communication skills and academic achievements, you will demonstrate comprehensive 3D CAD skills (CATIA or SolidWorks preferred) and will enjoy a "hands-on" approach, with the ability to see "how things work" and how they can potentially be applied and improved upon. You will be flexible to travel to customer sites throughout the UK so a driving licence is essential for the role, and you will be seeking a permanent position within a stable, progressive and cutting edge technology environment where both your "technical" and "people" skills will be challenged to their full potential.
