Job Description: Quality Engineer (Assurance) Swindon QA / QC £30,000 + Contributory Pension + Life Assurance + BUPA + Generous Benefits Quality Assurance role on offer in a stable world class manufacturer that offers excellent training and on-going career development. This position is responsible for the control and management of all routine Quality Assurance activities within the area of accountability. You will provide general expertise in the facilitation of Quality Improvement Projects within the area of responsibility, develop and maintain progressive arrangements with suppliers and customers, and provide Quality Engineering service to the site as required. Our client operates at the forefront of technology using thermal spraying processes, including Detonation Gun, Plasma, HVOF, Wirespray and supporting processes. The Role: * Must assure that company and Customer/Auditing Bodies quality systems are adhered to. * Should participate, and initiate when required, improvement projects to enhance Customer Product Quality. * Assist Production Managers with the resolution of non-conformances, provide timely investigation and reporting of key quality indicators (COPQ). * Support company quality reporting requirements and may be release documentation signatory, Carry out Local Audits across the site as specified by the Quality Manager. * Assure compliance to regulatory standards and customer approvals. * Development of company quality standards to the benefit of both company and the customer. * Review Customers Quality requirements and Complaints and action accordingly. * Complete 8D analysis for Internal/External issues as required so that Preventative Root Cause solutions are established. * To fully support all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedure, to achieve Zero / Zero target. * Adopt and support the principles of 5s to achieve a world class standard of 30. The Candidate: * Previous experience in an engineering environment with a quality culture. * Full awareness of quality standards, e.g. ISO, BSI, Nadcap, EASA, FAA, Rolls-Royce, etc. * Excellent problem-solving, written and oral communication skills. * Ability to use databases spreadsheets and word processing. * Calm, patient, persuasive, and able to handle conflict and conflicting priorities. * Able to manage customer liaison at all levels
