Job Description:  Quality Engineer Location: Somerset - Commutable from Taunton / Chard / Yeovil / Axminster / Crewkerne areas Excellent Salary +26 days holiday + Contributory Pension + Life Assurance + Bonus + Parking Quality Engineer position available for candidates seeking a role that is challenging and diverse. The job entails manufacturing quality and working with lean based principles whilst liaising with internal customer quality engineers for any aspects of product quality. Positive changes within quality across the group has been a business area which has contributed significantly to the growth. The company are continuing to increase their portfolio with a range of commercially successful products for a variety of markets both in the UK and abroad. The site in Somerset boasts an advanced manufacturing and you will be part of an experienced Quality team. The business demonstrates strong trends in both the UK and Europe. The company’s culture allows you to be creative and they are renowned for investing in people.The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role within aerospace / automotive or defence industries. The role: • Liaise with internal customer quality engineers for all aspects of product quality including customer concerns and reporting. • Manufacturing quality and work within a lean based environment. • Ensure all aspects of A.P.Q.P for products manufactured meet customer and group requirements. • Maintain QM Systems, Quality Manual and Quality Procedures Manuals. • Conduct scheduled Audits of Process and Systems & document accordingly. • Support audits the company’s suppliers. • Take an active role in continuous improvement activities. The Person required: • Quality Engineering background in either aerospace / automotive/ defence or any mechanical manufacturing sector. • Manufacturing and product quality experience
