Job Description: Quality Engineer (Supplier) £32,000 + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays + Benefits Bournemouth / Poole Quality Engineer position in a multinational manufacturer where you will be the quality department link between the company and the customer. This role will suit an engineer with experience in supplier quality who enjoys communicating with customers and suppliers. As part of the companys approach to improving quality, this is a new position where you will be an integral part of the companys continuous improvement activities to improve delivery and performance. You will enjoy working for a professional multinational company that has a long and secure history with a prestigious client base. They are continuing to increase their portfolio with a range of commercially successful products for a variety of markets both in the UK and abroad. This is the largest manufacturing site in the UK and you will be occasionally required to visit other sites to assist in project improvements. Reporting to the Quality Director, this vacancy offers the successful candidate a great opportunity to make a difference in improving customer service. The role will suit confident individuals able to deal with customers directly as you will play a key role in ensuring product delivery to the right cost, quantity and quality. The role: Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be the link between the companys product and the customers quality departments. Represent the company for all part deliveries and ensure all systems are working correctly to eliminate quality escapes. Audit internal processes and be part of the companys continuous improvement activities. Ensure product compliance to customers specification. Investigate and report on the customers Query Notes, establish route causes and suggest corrective action. Coach and train staff on any quality gates needed. Direct liaison with customers directly and provide quality performance data of improvement activities. Monday Friday 7.30am 4.15pm and Friday 7.30am-12.30pm. The person needed: Supplier quality experience in aerospace/automotive/mechanical engineering Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Familiar with Microsoft word, excel, power point etc
