Job Description: Performance Engineer Developer / TestingWarrington or ReadingKey Skills: Developer, Tester, c#, embedded C, c++, GUI, Performance Testing, Shell Scripting, PerlOverview: •Ability to use performance tools to monitor, gather, analyze and report product performance.•Ability to focus on complex technical problems.•Awareness of performance testing standards and the ability to compare the application under test to these standards and thereby determine if something is a bug.•Interest in looking beneath the surface to identify root causes.•System level thinking, an understanding that a bottleneck could be anywhere in the architecture. Responsibilities: •Design and implement methods and tools, which improve understanding of product performance.•Design and implement methods and tools, which defend product performance.•Advocate performance best practices to product development teams.•Design technical performance investigation strategies.•Design and executes performance and load tests.•Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats.•Participate and drive the Performance/Load/Stress tool selection process.•Assist Technical Support with product performance defects. Experience - Knowledge Required & Qualifications: Ideal Candidate•Strong understanding of performance testing & analysis techniques.•Experience of performance Testing on windows based .net applications using tools like Loadrunner, Rational Performance Test, Scapa, Load GUI, Loadgen, WCAT, Edgesight.•Experience of C#, VB scripting, Perl.•Functional testing, End to End (E2E) testing, Data Driven Testing.•Experience of working in Agile software development environment.Personal Qualities•Dedication to accuracy and precision•Diligent•System level thinking•audience-aware communication skills•Assertive•Adaptable•Analytical•Self-disciplined•Self-Motivated•Persistent•Persuasive•Keen to learnExperience prerequisites•Two or more year’s experience in Testing or Development.•Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or software engineering desired.
