Job Description: Salary: 25-30k Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related issues for Network Rail. We’re responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain’s railway. Our approach is a pragmatic one, challenging where appropriate and professional in all areas of delivery. This is a post working in the HR Shared Services Offices at Square One, Manchester. This role is responsible for delivering customer service improvements through leveraging system functionality and processes aligned to the HRSS service and production model. The successful candidate will provide essential HR business analyst skills across all HR Shared Services to support the delivery continuous process and service improvement. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of processes to underpin new business initiatives and changed activities. 2. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing processes; develop and implement the improvements. 3. Lead the consistent communication and briefing of new or changed processes to all affected parties. Provide training on processes as required. 4. To develop proactive short and long term resource planning tools to enable the accommodation of all business activity including peaks. 5. To provide support to business change impacting on the function, its service delivery and processes, championing change projects and process improvement. 6. To maintain and develop a thorough technical understanding and knowledge of all business processes using this knowledge to solve support the resolution of issues and problems, providing advice and guidance to HRSS employees and customers. 7. To proactively lead on and champion effective use of all available technologies including telephony, CRM, Oracle and PSe systems across the Shared Service Centre. 8. Analysis of organisational data to proactively inform organisational decision makers of trends and patterns and provide tangible reports and recommendations JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Essential · Experience of delivering large and small scale process and service improvement in Shared Services environments · Resource planning skills · Proven Experience of using integrated IT solutions such as CRM, telephony and integrated HR and Payroll systems · Reporting and analytical skills · Understanding of service management principles · Ability to work in highly pressurised environment · Positive attitude, energetic personality · Proven problem solving and skills · Advanced skills in Microsoft office,(Excel, PowerPoint) · Good understanding of lean/six sigma or Prince 2 methodology · Good communication skills, written and verbal · Experience of implementing projects to time, budget and agreed purpose Desirable · Experience of working to a legislative framework and within agreed timescales · Experience of Oracle e-business suite/PSe Payroll · Experience of Solidus Telephony · Experience of Oracle CRM At Network Rail, you have the chance to develop a long, rewarding career.
