Salary: £7.26 to £8.00/£9.32 ph dependant on qualifications (£9.32 with BSL 3 if working with Service Users requiring BSL 3)

Support Workers are required to support deafblind people to maintain an independent lifestyle e.g. to widen the areas of experience for deafblind people by enabling them to make meaningful choices, reducing isolation and improving access to information, communication and mobility and provide support in all aspects of daily living.
In Central and West Birmingham we have part time support roles available for up to 30 hours a week. These support hours may be worked by 1 or more Support Workers dependant on the hours required by successful candidates. Additional hours are often available to cover new service users, annual leave and sickness cover. It is expected that our Support Workers would work no less than 12 hours per week.
These support hours are required for an immediate start. BSL level 2 & 3 are required and Hands on BSL experience would be an advantage. Successful applicants must be car drivers.
