Job Description: Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an IT Analyst on a contract to hire opportunity with a leading company in Tyson Corners, VA.
In this position the successful candidate will report to the Manager of Networking. The analyst must be able to configure, install, maintain, test, analyze, evaluate and upgrade network equipment and services. Must have the ability to describe and understand complex systems. Must have technical proficiency in multiple operating systems, hardware platforms, and associated utilities. Requires trouble-shooting and capacity planning for networks, the ability to analyze network performance and adjust parameters to affect optimum network performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A four-year college degree is preferable, but significant experience in a complex learning environment may be substituted. Minimum three years in progressive network experience in one or more of the following areas: routing (EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN hardware, network security (Firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, remote access VPN), DNS, and telephony support.
Off-hours work, 24-hour a day on call duties, long hours occasionally required. Light travel required (25%)
