Job Description: Due to expansion there is now a vacancy for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering company. You will be working as a Field Service Technician on agricultural equipment. The role of Graduate Mechanical Engineer is based from the companys offices in the south-east, but will involve travel across the UK, and also some European travel. Salary package for the Graduate Mechanical Engineer is c£22,000 + overtime + private healthcare + pension. Duties and Accountabilities: Field visits, working with dealers and customers to perform detailed investigations and data capture on specific technical concerns and performance issues Development of fix actions in conjunction with engineering, testing, manufacturing and quality, plus testing and validation activities both in the UK and around Europe Providing hands-on technical support to dealers and customers throughout Europe during peak periods and to resolve complex technical concerns Preparation of concise technical reports Training dealers on the most effective repair methods, use of technical information and support tools Work with Pre-production engineering field test vehicles to prepare for and support new product launches Skills / Experience Required: Ideally degree-qualified (HND minimum) in mechanical, agricultural engineering or similar Be self-motivated and have a solid, practical understanding of technical diagnosis and problem solving, and be willing to work in a flexible environment A second language would be an advantage but not essential The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team Should be able to demonstrate a logical and rigorous ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues in a structured and efficient manner Have a sound knowledge of agricultural practices and a practical understanding of tractor systems
