Job Description: Java Developers - New VOIP Engineering Centre BELFAST Permanent Roles based in BELFAST, N. IRELAND, UK I am leading a search for the worlds leading provider of VOIP products and solutions in order to flesh out their new Engineering Centre in Belfast. This centre will design and develop complex components for their global VOIP suite. This is a magnificent chance to join a fast growing office in a domain with a very high growth rate and significant technical learning opportunities. The role involves: Interpreting requirements into product design Implementing designs in code Unit Testing implemented code Supporting existing code base You will be expected to analyze requirements from product management, create a functional specification based on the requirements, and provide a code implementation which meets all of the requirements and matches the functional specification. The complexity of assignments may vary but most assignments for a senior software engineer are fairly complex technical problems. Requirements: - Practical experience with object-oriented analysis and design - Practical experience with JAVA / J2EE - Practical experience developing real-time systems - 5 or more years experience required. Bonus skills (not required): - Knowledge of 3GPP IMS is an asset - Experience with analysis and development of interface/communication protocols desired - Exposure to some of the following protocols preferred: SIP, MGCP, H.323 This positions will be highly subscribed so please contact me promptly.
