Job Description: Senior Technical Consultant, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Cambridgeshire We are searching for a Technical Consultant with a background in Engineering, Maths or Physics to provide a significant contribution to major development projects in a technical lead role focused in the areas of applied fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. The position will involve solving difficult technical problems using a combination of numerical methods, mathematical modelling, experimental techniques and analytical tools. The consultants will use strong technology expertise to develop relationships with current and future clients by understanding their needs, writing proposals to define the work programmes, holding technical workshops and presenting data. The role will provide a technical point of contact within the company for clients. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria: An excellent academic background Excellent mathematical skills Ability to solve difficult technical problems using a combination of numerical methods, mathematical modelling, experimental techniques and analytical tools. Ability to be passionate about the product development process from concept to launch and will have real world experience of significant aspects of product development. Experience in liaising with clients to build relationships and to elicit both technical and non-technical project requirements. Be comfortable in leading technical teams and will be able to delegate to and support the work of colleagues. This will include the scoping and planning of work programmes to maximise efficient use of internal and external resources. Experience of interest in any or all of the following Aerosolisation of powders and liquids Multi phase fluid flow and mixing Heat transfer modelling Materials science and electrostatics Medical devices development Experience of working within a regulated development environment will be advantageous Senior Technical Consultant, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Cambridgeshire
