Job Description: Senior Electronics Engineer - digital - FMEA design and practical experience based Malvern, Worcestershire competitive salary plus benefits, dependant on qualifications and experience. We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer (Digital/FMEA) with demonstrable design and practical experience to work for a high-tech company involved with analytical instrumentation Candidates for the position of Senior Electronics Engineer will be skilled at one or more of the following: Design involving precision analogue transducer interfaces such as force, optoelectronics, piezo etc Design involving power electronics (e.g. electromechanical, motor drives, DC-DC SMPs) PCB fabrication and assembly processes, both conventional and SMT PCBA test processes Firmware design EMC / LVD Design for assembly and test (e.g. ATE) Digital and FMEA experience will be required The role of Senior Electronics Engineer (Digital/FMEA) will involve working with teams of multi-disciplinary engineers within new product development, manufacturing and the companys supplier base. Day to day duties will include: Providing robust, cost effective design solutions for new products Providing feature enhancement across the range of current instrumentation products Working with NPI teams to ensure new product manufacturing and test solutions Liaising with PCB assembly contractors to resolve quality issues Developing and maintaining testing (e.g. ATE) processes at outsource / offshore suppliers Supporting manufacturing and associated subcontractors Providing task estimates, plans and progress reporting Working with external development and manufacturing groups To undertake this role, good communication and team-working skills are essential, as is the ability to take on a diversity of design and problem solving assignments. The position will require a qualification in Electronic Engineering (degree or equivalent) and relevant experience, preferably in a related field.
