Job Description: Our client is an extremely busy Hotel and Restaurant based in Oxford.
They currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Chef de Partie to join the existing team.
This is a permanent full time role to start asap. Our client are offering a live in option with this role if needed.
MAIN DUTIES:
To assist in kitchen preparation, to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*To complete work given by Sous Chef or Head Chef on any section of the kitchen to the laid down standard which has been agreed by Head Chef.
*To place food orders in the absence of Head Chef / Sous Chef.
*To maintain good standards of appearance, good personal hygiene and wear correct chef's uniform.
*To act as Senior Chef on duty in absence of Head Chef / Sous Chef.
*To ensure that you report to work on time as per agreed rota.
*To report any sickness or reasons for not reporting to work as soon as possible.
*To use all kitchen equipment for its proper purpose at all times.
*To report to Head Chef or Sous Chef any maintenance defects.
*To adhere to the standards of food presentation and control.
*To assist with the control of wastage and be profit conscious.
*To work quickly and calmly whilst promoting good working relations within the kitchen.
*To liaise effectively with other departments where appropriate.
*To assist in training of chefs to develop skills.
*To supervise other chefs to maintain standards of food and Health & Safety issues.
