Job Description: Our client is currently recruiting for Cell operative to join their company as soon as possible. This position is responsible for undertaking a wide range of manufacturing processes in a small batch manufacturing cell, operating to high standards of quality and customer care whilst promoting and supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing philosophies in manufacturing processes. 1.Ability to carry out cnc machining manufacturing tasks: Fully set and operate new technology 5 axis, 4 axis cnc milling machines Fully set and operate new technology multi turret cnc lathes Fully set and operate new technology cnc machine tools in a cellular environment Be able to forward plan and load plan for day machine production and unmanned machine production in a 24/7 cellular cnc machining environment To hand Deburr and fettle detail components In batch and in process inspection of components Preventive maintenance task and duties Function and Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment will full participation and involvement in every aspect 2.Ability to inspect components: Able to read, understand and fully interpret component drawings, including detail, assembly and finishing process drawings. Inspect detail, assembly and finishing processes from drawing to component and use all inspection equipment required accordingly including Co-ordinate measuring machines, contour machines, and surface finish equipment. Ability to inspect and use pressure checking, magnetic particle inspection equipment and paint finishing inspection techniques. 3.Ability to assemble components: Carry out assembly of detail parts to drawing requirements and inspect Ability to finish spray detail components and assemblies: Operate degreasing equipment Spraying of detail and assembled components of various sizes with prime, finish coatings and lacquer using new technology spray guns and booths SECONDARY ACTIVITIES / TASKS 1.To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Manufacturing Cell. 2.To undertake business travel abroad or within the UK as and when required. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL Thorough experience in multi axis cnc machine tools milling and turning in a cellular environment Thorough experience of component drawings and inspection of component parts, assembled parts and inspection equipment usage Good experience of modern manufacturing techniques i.e. Lean manufacturing. Solid experience of cutting tool technology / appropriate tool usage Good experience of assembling small detail assemblies Good experience of paint and lacquer spraying including inspection processes Good knowledge and experience of a 5s manufacturing environment SPECIFIC / TECHNICAL SKILLS Highly developed team working communication skills: able to communicate verbally and through written reports Developed cutting tool and material cutting knowledge Ability to understand cnc programme code and operation Standard PC skills Excel, Word and SAP knowledge EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Recognised served engineer apprenticeship City and guilds / E.I.T.B / NVQs National tech certificate engineering If you think this is the right role for you then send us your CV and contact details as soon as possible or get in touch with us to discuss further details
