Job Description: Our clients are UK based global engineering and consultancy companies that provide support to a wide range of organisations in the offshore and onshore oil and gas industries to help them to provide safety, reliability and performance of assets, people, systems and processes.. The jobs: We are looking for Pipeline Engineers, Subsea Engineers and Subsea Controls Engineers of various grades up to Principal (but with at least 3 years experience) with experience of design to undertake some or all of the following tasks: - Carrying out design verification / appraisal of subsea / offshore related equipment and of general industrial equipment as required - Acting as a sub-sea / offshore pipeline engineer providing advice and support to a field surveyor. - Checking conformity assessment of equipment under the requirements of European Directives. Candidates should have some or all of the following: - Minimum of 3 years experience (7 for senior posts) in offshore and subsea work environment in particular pipeline engineering design including FEED and detailed design and analysis - Strong understanding of general engineering principles (e.g. mechanics, dynamics, hydrodynamics, fatigue, stress, integrity, design of pipelines) - Pipeline design of high pressure and high temperature service conditions - Ability to perform independent calculations and analysis on On-Bottom stability, Lateral & Upheaval buckling, Spanning, Expansion Analysis and Cathodic protection - Experience of risers, moorings and flexible pipelines - Familiarity of the procedures and practices of Verification and Certification as applicable to the design based on UK & Norwegian legislations. Qualifications: - Degree in relevant Engineering subject - Member of professional organisation - Masters Degree / Chartered Status required for the more senior posts Some posts are very much office based and can include working in the UK and, occasionally, Europe.
