Job Description: Java/J2EE Developers sought by global gaming/gambling organisation in the North-West!Java Developers looking for a challenge read on - Have you been coding professionally in Java for over five years and looking to apply your skills to something more substantial? Are you the sort of person who just `knows` how to resolve a problem while others are still wondering how to approach it? The successful Java Developer will join a growing team in a SENIOR capacity - which means you`ll be good enough to mentor and potentially lead skilled Java Developers on a wide variety of complex projects. You will be working in one of the fastest-growing gaming/gambling companies in Europe, working on either front or back-end projects depending on your skillset.The successful candidate MUST possess the following:- Over four years` commercial Java experience - preferably in gaming/gambling- A demonstrable interest in open-source technologies and frameworks- Direct experience of web technologies - Javascript, CSS, Html. - An impeccable academic background - a 2.1 or above from a UK top-20 university in Computer Science (including Java-focused projects) would be ideal.Furthermore, the below are eminently desirable:- Thorough knowledge and experience of Python or Groovy scripting- Some experience of .Net technologies OR Ruby- Gaming/gambling experience- Functional programming knowledge - Erlang, Haskell, Scala etc.(NOTE: Less experienced Java Developers (three or four years` commercial experience) will be considered if they fulfil the above criteria.)You will be rewarded with a generous salary and benefits package, a warm and welcoming working environment and the chance to shape one of Europe`s most dynamic gaming/gambling businesses.Interested?
