Job Description: Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to work for a leading international law firmThe department plays an integral part in helping the firm to provide the highest standard of legal advice and services to its clients, including internal services within the firm. The analysis team is part of the Business Projects team, and works on large changes to the firm's systems - 'projects'. The team works alongside project managers, who look at the tasks and resources required to deliver projects. Analysts help understand 'what' needs to be delivered. The analysis team then work with systems specialists to examine what is available to deliver business demands, and with testing and deployment teams to roll-out quality services. The team is responsible for capturing and documenting requirements that accurately represent the business needs.This role reports to the Business Analysis Team Manager, who reports to the Head of Business Projects, who in turn reports directly to the CIO. It is part of the Information Systems Department.Key Responsibilities* Examine the business needs in terms of present and future IS requirements.* Mentor and develop junior members of the team.* Create requirements documents and model the relationship between different requirements, business goals and project objectives.* Work with the business and sponsors to scope projects, success criteria and related business benefits. * Manage expectations and communicate with stakeholders within and outside of the project team. * Manage the analysis within the business, producing outline specifications of systems requirements and prepare feasibility proposals for internal and/or external design.* Lead on the evaluation of tenders with external suppliers.* Manage the analysis tasks through to implementation ensuring that solutions are adequately tested, ensuring expectations are managed.* Contribute to the knowledge of the team, the department, and the firm, and work to enhance the reputation of the firm.Experience required:- Should be able to demonstrate success in a similar role.
