Job Description: Asset Appointments are a specialist technical, engineering and manufacturing recruitment company based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. This Company is a world leaders in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of special equipment machinery looking to expand their design and development department. Responsibilities will include: Reporting to the Engineering Manager your duties will include: Engineering design for current products; Identification and implementation of design improvements; Manufacturing support; Service support (including the possibility of overseas travel). These duties are not exhaustive. Package Details: In the region of £32,000pa plus benefits Requirements: The successful applicant will be expected to have the following skills/qualifications: HNC/HND in mechanical engineering; Several years experience of engineering design preferably in a machine building environment; Experience of Value Engineering/Value Analysis and cost down projects; Knowledge of current safety legislation and design related to such legislation; Experience of the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD packages with Solid Works being a distinct advantage. It is envisaged the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following personal qualities: proactive self starter; team player; commitment to continuous improvement; decision maker; attention to detail
