Job Description: A manufacturing company is looking for a Mechanical Production Engineer to join their team. The duties will include: Economic purchase of all product raw materials and sub contract items; Purchase of product tooling, machine spare and miscellaneous items; Management of factory efficiency with a view to continual improvement; Management of production schedules, both incoming goods and outgoing products; Maintenance of high product quality standards and the company's BSENISO 9008 quality systems; Active involvement in the design of company new products, associated tooling and product costing; Implementation of all company employment policies, recruitment, training, discipline and outline knowledge of employment law; Maintenance and improvement of company Health & Safety standards; Ensuring correct operation of office functions including invoicing, wage payments and accounting procedures. Ideally, you will have a thorough understanding of metal forming processes and light assembly techniques, ability to continually develop product manufacture and product design, ability to communicate at all levels and if necessary maintain disciplinary control by direct involvement, Ability to readily assimilate and progress forward the disciplines necessary to successfully run a manufacturing unit as our client is looking to develop this role to Operations Management. Have a flexible approach to their working day and have excellent communication skills. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will have a background in mechanical engineering with a desire to progress into management.
