Job Description: Fantastic opportunity to join one of Derby's most prominent employers. In this role you will be responsible for the justification of the design of a variety of Pumps, interfacing with the customer and suppliers to progress development. You will use analogy, analysis and testing to prove designs, producing design substantiation reports and safety justifiication statements. You will also provide support to customers requiring evaluation of problems and defects, seeking advice from specialists as required. You will also support the manufacturing of components and the resolution of manufacturing queries. Additionally, you will define, plan and report development trials to support new designs. Candidates should be degree educated or equivalen, in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Particular experience in any of the following would be of particular interest: pump design including electro-mechanical expertise and motor design, structural integrity and fatigue and stress analysis.
