Job Description: Maintainability Engineer Aerospace/Defence, Aircraft Systems, Airframe, Fuel Engines.. As a Maintainability Engineer you will be supporting the ILS Manager and Principal Maintainability Engineer in implementation of -: Maintainability programmes; prediction and modelling of Maintainability aspects of the companies designed systems; assistance in planning, implementation of performance demonstrations and trials; liaison with design teams, customer representatives and suppliers. As a Maintainability Engineer your responsibilities will include Supporting the ILS Manager and Principal Maintainability Engineer in implementation of maintainability programmes. Generation of technical reports and design review presentations. Compilation of work breakdown structure. Maintainability prediction and modelling of complex mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. Compilation of Maintainability Predictions, inputs to FMECA, Ground Support and Test Equipment detail, Packaging, Handling, HAZMAT identification, Parts/Spares detailing, Maintenance Reports and Repair Costs calculations.. As a Maintainability Engineer your experience and qualifications should include Maintainability Predictions. MSG3 / RCM Analysis. Requirements Appraisal/Securing Compliance. Applicants must be qualified to HNC, BTEC or equivalent level in electrical or mechanical engineering, or Armed Forces experience as a senior maintainer/manager. Team working & communication internally and externally. Proven capability required in Maintainability analyses (Predictions and modelling), plus MSG3, Training Needs Analysis and Human Factors Integration. Proven capability in Access and ILS related software tools e.g. Reliability Workbench and familiarity with MIL-STD-470/471 & 472, DEF STAN 00-250. Experience of aircraft systems and maintenance, particularly airframe, fuel (engines) would be an advantage. You will have strong communication skills and able to deputise for your manager dealing with internal and external customers.
