Job Description: Finance Assistant Team Leader required for well established company based in Taunton. Role Holder is responsible for managing the day-to-day running of B&M Support Services Non Trade Invoice Matching Team Role Holder will coach team to follow best practise and adherence to internal policies Role Holder will be responsible for maintaining good working relationships and communication with all internal and external customers Deputise for Team Leader and taking responsibility for full team management where required Accountabilities Ensuring that all processes are carried out in accordance with controls outlined in the Non Trade control templates Ensure all escalated team member queries are managed and resolved in a timely manner Ensure all one to ones, team meetings and performance appraisals are conducted within the correct timescales Ensure all control and compliance reporting is produced and analysed in line with frequency requirements and acted upon by the relevant teams. Ensure All Key Accounts are reconciled on a period basis Ensure all direct reports inductions, holidays and absences are managed within company guidelines Ensure that the team is developed to carry out work in a controlled, cost effective and efficient manner Supporting the Team Leader and deputising where necessary Ensure that issues are properly identified and clearly communicated on a timely basis Management and analysis of procurement systems (ACE and CODA) Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to deadlines as required Key Behaviours: Clear and confident communicator at all levels Professional, courteous and punctual Ability to question and seek opportunities and deliver Ability and willingness to support team members and Team Leader Ability to question current practices with an overview to make process improvements Skills: Team Player Builds and uses an effective network of contacts Positive and enthusiastic nature Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise objectives Delivers to timescales Good analytical skills System literate - Microsoft applications Ability to grasp and understand impact of decisions made Experience & Qualifications: Proven leadership skills through managing teams at different levels Understanding of business systems and their impact and relevance Strong Excel and reporting skills Previous Accounts Payable experience Able to interrogate and analyse data £16k-£18k excellent benefits package.
