Job Description: IT TECHNICIAN Standfast & Barracks is the UK's leading specialist printer of furnishing, apparel and camouflage fabrics. An opportunity has arisen for an IT Technician, reporting to the IT Manager. Main responsibilities of the role is to assist the IT Manager and will include: Supporting the Company's infrastructure, including servers, LAN and PCs. Supporting a variety of software, including Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, Unix, Universe and Bespoke software. Providing 1st and 2nd level technical support to the user. Maintaining hardware and software. Projects. A relevant computing qualification, ie HND, is required, along with experience in a similar role (ideally in manufacturing). Experience of Windows operating systems & applications are essential and experience of Unix/Universe would be an advantage. Experience of hardware maintenance is required. You will require good organisational and communication skills, and have the ability to work under pressure to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
