Job Description: QA Automation Functional Lead Tester London Financial Exchange - Unix/Linux, SQL - 60k A market leader of software solutions to the trading arena is seeking a number of new staff. The firm performs as a vendor and as an exchange; together providing a reliable and efficient brand of product that are tried and tested and proved very successful. This particular vacancy they are seeking to fill is for a QA Automation Functional Lead Tester with Unix/Linux, SQL. The role itself will involve the successful QA Automation Function Lead Tester with Unix/Linux, SQL, to work leading a small team of testers to test all new products built for the vendor and exchange. Any financial skills will be seen as a bonus especially any FIX knowledge or any experience in Order Book Trading due to the nature of what you will testing. The focus of the role is on the Automation Functional Testing skills with some exposure to Financial Systems and Trading. The role will necessitate the right QA Automation Functional Lead Tester with Unix/Linux, SQL, to work within a flexible and hard working team. Everyone with the firm prides themselves on their attention to detail, the excellence they strive for and overall the quality of what they produce. This is down to the personalities of those on board - people are passionate about their technologies and the business of building trading systems and working within an exchange. The successful Automation QA Functional Lead Tester with Unix/Linux, SQL, will preferable have a background where they have been testing applications within a financial exchange or trading environment. The following skills will also be needed: Functional Testing (essential) Automation Testing (desierable) Financial Exchange or Trading application test experience (highly desirable) UNIX/Linux - especially Solaris (essential) FIX (desirable) Scripting - Perl or Python (desirable) Testing C++ multithreaded applications (desirable) You will be taught new technologies and your skills will be kept up to date as new systems are built. The financial exposure you will receive will be across the whole spectrum of finance as the systems you will be using and building provide their customers with an all in one trading solution.
