Job Description: Linux Systems Administrator Niche Software House - Oxford Linux Systems Administrator is required by an award winning Software House Company based in Oxford. You will have minimum 5 years experience as a system administrator. You will have responsibility for installing, configuring and maintaining operating system workstations and Servers, including web Servers in both traditional and cloud-style environments. You need to have experience on Linux/Unix (ideally Ubuntu). Apache2 Samba, Open LDAP, Kerberos, BIND/DNS, Networking, IP Tables, Cisco. Must understand and ideally worked a 24/7 model, supporting Servers. You will also be responsible for monitoring systems to ensure maximal up time, user available and performance levels. Developing, maintaining and testing appropriate disaster recover processes is also a vital part of this role. Skills and Experience Essential Servers Ubuntu, Linux/Unix, Windows 2003/2008, VMWare installation, administration, support and troubleshooting Apache2, Samba, OpenLDAP, Kerberos, BIND/DNS Networking: Cisco ASA, Switches, SSH, OpenVPN, LAN/WAN/Wireless, IP Tables Thorough grounding in storage and networking concepts and techniques Server, PC, storage and networking hardware Desirable Mail: Zimbra, Exim4, SpamAssasin/AV, SMTP Daemon, NotifyLink, Exchange Storage: NAS/SAN, NFS, Samba.
