Job Description
A Manchester based travel management company are seeking a Business Development specialist to join their expanding team. This role will involve identifying potential opportunities for new business within the SME sector, proactively performing sales calls from leads and business development. Duties will include:
- Developing profitable new business by cleverly managing the territory and running sales activities including cold calling, database search and client networking
- Analysing travel purchasing data and identifying cost saving opportunities
- Preparing and presenting information including tender proposals
- Conducting client presentations and product training
- Identifying and attending client specific exhibitions.
Experience and skills required:
- A travel industry background, ideally, but not necessarily, in business travel
- Experience of prospecting for and delivering new business
- Excellent communication, presentation negotiation skills
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
Home-based in the South East, the successful candidate will receive an excellent package including a basic salary up to £35,000 plus a bonus and car.
