We are a recruitment agency and we are currently looking for an experienced Access Specialist for our prestigious North West.

The Access Specialist will be required to:-


The access specialist will be an authority on access technologies and should boast a deep technical understanding of DSL fundamentals, in addition have a sound working knowledge of implementations and applications of DSL Technologies.

Educated to degree standard in telecommunications, computer science or electronics, and having a minimum of 3 years direct telecommunications and carrier network experience.

Using their knowledge and expertise this individual will devote the majority of their time to the company's 21CN access network taking an analytical approach to the company test and diagnostic strategy.

Experience working with wireline systems: ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, and VDSL2 is essential, and any experience that is extended in the field of analyzing algorithms, testing and developing software for copper lines, measurements in ADSL/ADSL2+ and VDSL2 systems, modelling extraction and Spectrum Management studies is extremely desirable.

The successful candidate will be involved in the research and development of future technologies such as HDSL, VDSL2 and will have the ability to co-ordination and produce a detailed synopsis of all technical studies; ensuring that all learning?s and information are used to enhance CPWN?s assurance processes.

This person will possess an in-depth electronics knowledge with a full understanding of electronic engineering principles and issues specifically regarding the UK Copper access networks and associated cabling.

Knowledge of .NET framework technologies, using C# and ASP.NET programming, and additional skills in XML, Web Services and SQL would be a beneficially although are not essential.


Requirements
To be aware of the test and diagnostic strategy of the Service Management Centre and the overarching long-term goal for CPW Networks
To work closely with Network Services Group Manager to make certain that all access Technologies align with the SMC and company strategy.
To provide the Network Services Group Manager with detailed reports on the performance and development of access technologies, both in terms of their use and suggested path for improvement.
To instil a work ethic within their area of influence that demands the highest levels of efficiency and quality.
To liaise with external suppliers and network partners, and gain a greater technical understanding of hardware and software used within our NGN. Provide impact reports of network anomalies and failures within our access network. The audience for these reports is to be distributed to the Senior Network Managers and Chief Operating Officer.
To provide help and guidance to members of their team and Management, offering support and giving members the opportunity to develop their skills by continually providing feedback and sharing technical knowledge.
To adept and overcome challenges that may arise from within the network or teams.
