Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineers See other jobs from Index Recruitment Status: Full Time Salary: Dependent on experience Job Location: Europe > United Kingdom > Nottinghamshire   Job Description Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineers Duties will include the following:• A variety of Geotechnical or Engineering Geology assignments including site review, ground investigation, interpretation, detailed design, slope stability, earthworks assessments, etc; Project Management; Majority of the work will be office based, although it will involve some site assessments; Knowledge of CDM regulations and the preparation of Health and Safety plans for site works; Mentor and train more junior staff; Ability and willingness to assist with client liaison and business development preferred; Compile factual and interpretative reports;Proposal writing and financial control of projects. Key Competencies Qualifications Graduate engineers qualified to BSc (Hons) in Geology, B Eng Civil Engineering or relevant environmental discipline are required; Preferably an Msc in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering. Experience Self-motivated Geotechnical Engineers with a minimum of 4-5 years experience.; Logging soils and rocks to BS5930; Lab test scheduling; SI design and management; Some knowledge and experience of contaminated land/brownfield land investigations and remediation experience preferable; Interpretative reporting; Financial control of projects; Slope Stability Analysis; Use or knowledge of Holebase III; Use of knowledge of FE Packages, SlopeW, WALLOP etc; Geotechnical Design.
