Job Description
Associate/Associate Director EIA/SEA Consultant
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing EIA projects, involving the co-ordination of specialist inputs and the overseeing of the EIA team. There will be an opportunity for involvement in Strategic Environmental Assessment and Sustainability Appraisals.
The candidate must possess a solid understanding and practical experience of SEA/Sustainability Appraisal and technical competency in one of the following disciplines:
Ecology
Acoustics
Landscape
Planning
Air Quality and/or IPCC
Key Competencies
The successful candidate will need to have:
Strong project management skills;
An understanding of the commercial environment;
Excellent client liaison and contract negotiation skills;
A strong track record of winning work and delivering on time and in budget;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
A proven business development focus;
Excellent project management skills;
Excellent people management skills.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree and ideally a Master\'s or other post-graduate degree.
Personal Qualities:
The post requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Experience
At least 7 to 10 years overall experience, at least 3 must have been gained in a consultancy environment managing a range of EIA assignments;
Experience of leading teams and co-ordinating the work of specialists;
Ideally from a consultancy background;
Experience of Strategic Environmental Assessment / Sustainability Appraisal.
