Job Description
Role- Accommodation and Office Manager- Reporting to Head of Crew Services- based at the client's service centre and requires an individual who can contribute to improving performance both at strategic and operational levels. An energetic, strong, accountable individual who is responsible for the management and provision of accommodation, housekeeping, office cleaning and mail services within the site.
Key accountabilities
To deliver the service committed to customers at the right time, cost and quality.
Manage the provision of Housekeeping, Office cleaning and Mail services at HMNB Clyde
To ensure that the output is met in line with contract requirements
Maximise utilisation of accommodation
Maintain discipline and good order in the accommodation blocks in line with Naval ethos
Promote the Babcock brand
Control and measure performance to ensure service levels are in line with business objectives.
Lead and motivate the employees to deliver the business's requirements.
Manage and maintain an effective organisation suited to the allocated tasks and staffed with competent people who are adequately trained and whose performance objectives are clearly identified.
Implement continuous improvement and best practice and contribute to business initiatives in accordance with the Operational, Technical and Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Implement company health, safety and environment policy by establishing the Health, Safety and Environment needs for the areas and activities controlled and ensure that assessment or risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices
Person Spec- Higher weighting more important
10 - Min 3yrs current experience as accommodation/hospitality manager/property manager
10- Experience with working in a unionised environment
10- Experience in continuously changing environment
10- Excellent experience in team situations with a history of motivating teams
10- Highly knowledgeable about current best practices
10- Ability to take unpopular stands if necessary
9- Builds strong relationships across different departments and has the ability to diffuse high-tension situations comfortably
9- Degree or SVQ level 4
9- NEB certificate in management
